At Woodcote Dental Practice, we use Invisalign® to help patients achieve the smile that they have always wanted. With the Invisalign® system, traditional fixed metal braces are not used.
The treatment involves wearing clear aligners which are nearly invisible. If you have crooked or crowded teeth, Invisalign® can help. If you have gaps in your smile, Invisalign® can also help to achieve a better smile. The aligners are clear, removable and comfortable. You can carry on with your daily life as normal.
Most people will not be able to tell that you are wearing Invisalign® aligners as they are nearly invisible. They are removable for eating, so you can eat what you like. There is no metal in the aligners so allergies are not a concern.

Stage 3 - Follow UpStage 1 - ConsultationYour first visit will be an assessment to see if you are suitable for treatment.
If Invisalign® is suitable, a treatment plan will be prepared with your wishes taken into account. Your dental records and the proposed treatment plan will be sent to Align technology. A 3D computer model will be made to show the teeth before, during and after treatment. You will be able to see what your smile is expected to look like at the end of treatment.
Stage 2 - TreatmentAfter reviewing the 3D computer model and the treatment is agreed upon, a series of custom made aligners are ordered. Each aligner is slightly different and your teeth are moved gradually into the desired position. Each aligner is worn for two weeks when the next in the series is worn.
The length and cost of treatment varies and is dependent on your individual needs. Within the Invisalign® range there are options for mild cases such as Invisalign® Lite and Invisalign® Full. On average, Invisalign® treatment takes nine to eighteen months. During the treatment there will be a series of appointments to check the progress of your treatment.
Stage 3 - Follow UpOnce treatment is complete, you may need to wear a retainer to help maintain your newly aligned smile.
